For example, this review of five studies found that cholesterol was reduced by 4% in participants who took Probiotics every day, and LDL cholesterol (the ‘bad cholesterol) went down by 5%.

The mental health world has also been looking into the effects of Probiotics. Once again, they have reason to be excited about what they’re finding. However, it is essential to note in this case that all of the studies done are entirely dependent on certain strains of Probiotics, so make sure to do your research on this one.

One study found that the Probiotics Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus had positive connections to mental health. In this study, patients who took the supplements for a couple of months found improvements in their mental health, specifically: anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder, memory, and depression.
